Cyrus Hotel Progress!

More exciting progress to share on the Cyrus Hotel!!

The exterior finish of the hotel is starting to take shape, and its beginning to take its place in Downtown Topeka's skyline! To give it the distinctive appearance, we used a special panel system by Nichiha Fiber Cement designed specifically for taller, urban buildings.

Work has also begun on the framing and infrastructure of the first floor of the Hotel, where the lobby, restaurant, kitchen, and event center will be located. Brick and stone veneer is going up on the exterior south wall, adjacent to where the outdoor dining of the restaurant will occur. Soon the emerald green weather-proofing finish will be completely covered with the panel system and masonry veneer! Our friends McPherson Contractors have made sure to take advantage of the dry weather to make great progress over the last few months!

The guestroom bathrooms will include walk-in showers - the glass shower enclosures are soon to be installed as well! The bedroom windows will no doubt provide guests with a panoramic view of all the exciting improvements and events happening in Downtown Topeka!

Named after The Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railway founder and railway Entrepreneur, Cyrus K. Holliday, The Cyrus Hotel will be yet the latest major investment in the revitalized Downtown Topeka!

We are working closely with the Owner's hotel-management consultant, Aparium Hotel Group, to ensure no detail will be left unchecked as the December 2019 completion draws nearer! Architect One's talented Hospitality design and project management Team is dedicated to ensuring The Cyrus Hotel becomes a premier destination and a beacon for the future of Downtown Topeka! Stay tuned for more updates!
